Enfield RoadWatch Privacy and Data Protection Policies
The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25th May, 2018. Enfield RoadWatch has therefore updated its Privacy Policy and Data Protection to ensure that your data are protected, that you have more control over how you’re contacted and that our database is legally compliant.
If you currently receive emails from us, we obtained your details when you kindly signed our petition at one of the festivals or street campaigns. The electronic updates that we send are focused solely on keeping you informed and sometimes asking for assistance. We love keeping in touch with our supporters and we’d like to keep doing so – Enfield’s and other Green Belts are still under threat and your support is critical.
As part of the new process, we need you to confirm your permission for us to hold your data and to contact you via email. If you are already on our list, you should receive an email asking you to confirm your permission by replying. Please do that, so we can keep you on our list. We don’t want to lose you at this important time.
If you are not currently on our email list but would like to be, please contact us at enfieldroadwatch@gmail.com asking to be added to the list and stating that we have permission to hold your data and email you.
Our Privacy Policy follows for your review. It explains what personal information Enfield RoadWatch (ERW) collects, how we use this personal data and how it is stored.

We will not sell or share any personally identifiable information collected by us to any third party.
How your data is stored. In the majority of cases the signatures were collected on a paper petition then added to our electronic petition and supporter lists, if there was sufficient data. The paper petitions are stored under lock and key in a filing cabinet belonging to one of our Committee members and are never removed from the premises. Our electronic email lists are held securely on a Google server. When someone sends a message via the contact form or direct to our email address the emails are stored securely on the Tsohost (the Web hosting company) server as webmail.
